Huawei Pura 90 Plus Leaked: Live Images and Chipset Details Surface Before Official Launch
Huawei has officially pulled back the curtain on the Pura 90 Plus, initiating pre-orders in the Chinese market ahead of its scheduled October 28 debut. While the company has remained tight-lipped regarding official specifications, the device has already landed in retail showrooms. Leaked "About phone" screenshots from these display units have effectively spoiled the biggest mystery surrounding the hardware.
According to the system information, the Pura 90 Plus (model LCI-AL00) is powered by the new Kirin 9025 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and running HarmonyOS 7. The device also features a screen resolution of 2848x1276. This marks the debut of the Kirin 9025, which industry insiders suggest is an overclocked iteration of the Kirin 9020. Accompanying the leaks are live photos showcasing the device's Sunset Purple finish, characterized by a distinct triangular camera module and curved edges.

Performance claims are already surfacing, with one leaker asserting that the Pura 90 Plus delivers a 19% boost in overall power compared to the Kirin 9020-based Pura 80 Pro. Furthermore, the Kirin 9025 is rumored to match the capabilities of the Kirin 9030S found in the higher-tier Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max, though verified benchmarks are still required to confirm these claims.
On the hardware front, the handset is expected to sport a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Photography enthusiasts can look forward to a 50MP 1-inch type RYYB primary sensor featuring a variable aperture, according to prior leaks. Huawei has confirmed the device will launch with 12GB of RAM and storage configurations of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. Buyers can choose between Obsidian Black, Snowy White, Dawn Gold, and Sunset Purple. These specs mirror much of the Pura 80 Pro, which shared the same 6.8-inch 1276x2848 display and variable aperture 50MP 1-inch sensor. Full details and pricing will be unveiled on October 28.
