RedMagic Announces Rollout Schedule for Android 17-Based RedMagic OS 12
Following the recent launch of the RedMagic 12 Pro+, RedMagic has now unveiled the rollout roadmap for RedMagic OS 12. Built upon the Android 17 foundation, the update is headed to a wide array of the brand's current smartphone and tablet lineup.
The deployment begins in December, with the RedMagic 11 Pro and 11S Pro series leading the charge. In January, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will receive the upgrade. The rollout continues in March for the RedMagic 10 Pro and 10S Pro series, alongside the RedMagic 11 Air and the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro. Finally, the RedMagic 10 Air is slated to receive the update in April.
Beyond the Android 17 core, RedMagic OS 12 introduces a visual overhaul featuring a prominent oversized clock and a suite of AI-driven enhancements, such as the AI Magic Island and a memory-capable AI assistant. For productivity and gaming, the update debuts seamless one-tap file sharing compatible with Apple hardware and a dynamic game space that shifts its aesthetic to match specific titles. Gamers also get an esports training hub featuring reaction and shooting drills, as well as X-Gravity 3.0, which enhances console streaming, cloud gaming, and large-screen mobile play.
It is worth noting that this release timeline applies exclusively to the Chinese market; RedMagic has not yet provided a schedule for the global variants of these devices.
